CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Get your limited edition NASCAR Day lapel pin, show your support for NASCAR Day and help raise awareness of children in need. Pins are $10 each (plus a small handling fee), measure 1-inch by 1-inch and feature a checkered flag design. The NASCAR Foundation embodies the compassion of the NASCAR Family and its commitment to serving communities. It seeks to raise funds and increase volunteerism to support nonprofit charities and charitable causes nation-wide, with an emphasis placed on initiatives that affect the ability of children to live, learn and play. Also, The NASCAR Foundation seeks your nominee for The Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award. Know anyone in our community who represents the generosity of our sport, someone who's shown extraordinary charity and kindness of spirit in working for kids in need? The Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award has been established to pay tribute to Mrs. France's philanthropic efforts and to acknowledge fans who share her same spirt of generosity. The award will be presented during NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion's Week in Las Vegas this December. Click here for more information and a nomination form.
