Man recently released from prison dies when car flips in high-speed chase

YORK COUNTY, SC (WBTV) - A Kings Mountain man who was released from prison last month after serving a 16-year sentence died late Tuesday morning after leading sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase which ended in South Carolina.
According to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, James Alvin Snider, 48, allegedly stole a SUV from the parking lot of a convenience store in Mt. Holly, NC, Tuesday morning.
The owner ran into the store and left the keys in the ignition as well as his cell phone.
Police were able to track the location of the stolen vehicle by the cell phone's location through GPS.
Mt. Holly Police then alerted the Cleveland County Sheriff's office about the vehicle's location.
